Traditional heavyweight judo mats

Vinyl surface mat constructed using a special heavy density fire retardant foam. The vinyl cover has a traditional rice-grain "Tatami" embossed surface pattern. An optional frame is available to lock a group of mats together to create a competition area.

These mats are typically purchased in quantities to create different size combat areas as follows:

• A basic 8m x 8m combat area requires 32no. 2m x 1m green mats.
• You can then add a 1m red zone around the comat area to give a 10m x 10m area which requires a total of 32no. 2m x 1m green mats and 18no. 2m x 1m red mats.
• If you have more room you can add a 1m green outer safety zone to give a 12m x 12m area which requires a total of 54no. 2m x 1m green mats and 18no. 2m x 1m red mats.
• To scale up to the full 14m x 14m competition size area with a 2m outer green safety zone you would require a total of 80no. 2m x 1m green mats and 18no. 2m x 1m red mats
