Junckers Clip System sprung sports flooring

System performance

The Junckers clip system delivers medium shock absorption and resilience, and is perfectly suited for renovation projects that need low construction height. If installed on an even sub-floor, installation of a floating floor such as the clip system couldn't be simpler.

Junckers 10mm thick Profoam underlay is rolled out over the sub-floor before the boards are simply joined together using Junckers own clips. Fast and economical to install it conforms fully to all the requirements of BS7044 Part 4 and Class 1 of the new CEN standard. It has a total construction height of only 32mm.

Junckers BluBat sprung squash court flooring

System performance

To meet the high demands made upon squash court floors, Junckers has developed the highly successful SylvaSquash system.

Given full accreditation by the SRA, England Squash and the WSF, the floor provides the player with the optimum playing surface in terms of shock absorption, resilience, true and even ball response, light uniform colour and friction.

Extremely fast games such as squash need a surface with a high degree of friction. Junckers SylvaSquash is a solid Junckers 22mm thick beeh board of the Classic grade with a 45grit finish, which provides the high level of friction required by the sport.

An unsealed finish is the first recommendation by the SRA, England Squash and the WSF. However SylvaSquash is also available with one coat of polyurethane seal factory applied as required.

The Junckers BluBat and New Era systems are the preferred undercarriage systems for a squash floor.

Because Junckers SylvaSquash is manufactured in uniform lengths, every board end is fully supported by a batten. This eliminates the possibility of board end breakages, a common problem with other "random strip" floors.

Construction height including boards: BluBat - 67mm, 79mm. New Era - 74mm to 439mm.

Junckers ventilated beech sports skirting

Junckers ventilated beech sports skirting

Sports Skirting

A Junckers solid timber sports floor must be left with a perimeter expansion gap. This gap must be covered by a skirting. We recommend the installation of the proprietary Junckers sports skirting.

This skirting is ventilated to allow any residual moisture under the floor to escape, is manufactured from beech to match the floor and has attractive stainless steel detail.

This really is the most attractive way to finish your brand new Junckers floor.

Ramps and threshold strips

With any new or refurbished floor installation there will be a need for ramps or threshold strips to deal with the level changes between rooms, exits and storerooms.

Continental can install a variety of ramps and thresholds using a variety of materials - rubber, plastic, timber, aluminium, stainless steel etc. to suit the design of your room.

Junckers Sports Bushings

It is more than likely that you will require some gamesposts to be fixed down to the floor to enable them to be used. For example, volleyball and tennis posts both need a tensioned net headline and to achieve this the posts must be fixed down (otherwise they would fall over).

Increasingly people are also choosing to fix netball posts and even badminton posts to the floor when in use to pervent any health and safety issues should the posts be knocked and fall over.

This isn't a problem with Junckers floors. We install Sports Bushing Covers in the location of the gamespost fixings points. These removable discs enable access to a solid fixing into the sub-floor without any imposition on the floor. The floor's performance is not impacted at all by the prescence of the fixing - it continues to spring in the area of the fixing when the post is removed, unlike more old fashioned fixings which produce a permanently solid spot in the location of the fixing.

The larger bushings can be used to permit access to data cabling or other services in the hall.
