Monopod vaulting table

Ref:265E - Height adjustment from 110cm to 135cm is easily performed by one person due to the use of a ball-race and gas strut system concealed in the central column. Foam padding for the column is available as an optional extra. An optional transporter is available to load and move the vaulting table - this is strongly recommended if the table is to be moved frequently.

The body has a concealed springing system designed to provide consistent performance over the whole area. It is upholstered in hide.

FIG stipulates vaulting tables require floor anchoring. Please refer to the ancillary items section for more information.

Vaulting table dust cover

Ref:265H - PVC dust cover to suit either the monopod or bipod vaulting table. This cover reduces the risk of dirt and dust damaging the hide surface of your vaulting table.

Sprung vault trainer

Ref:265K - We have developed this brand new sprung vault trainer in conjunction with some of the country's leading gymnastics coaches at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall.

Once the device was approved by British Gymnastics, Continental supplied these devices to 10 leading gym clubs in the UK and the response has been astounding.

Coaches who have tried this device tell us it the best new training aid for vault they have seen. We are manufacturing this trainer as quickly as we can - but please order early to ensure you are not disappointed.

A robust double layer powder coated steel frame supports a bungee cable springing system. The padded cover which is attached with nylon straps features a heavy duty chipfoam core and the top surface of suedette mimics the shape of a vaulting table. The red pvc edges give a visual warning to the gymnast of the frame of the device.

The trainer can be used on the floor (typically on an artistic sprung floor or vault run) or many coaches prefer to mount the trainer on a coaching block to give a realistic vaulting height. - See below for details of our matching coaching block system. The trainer is provided with a pair of nylon straps to help fix it to the top of a coaching block - but we always suggest a coach is located next to the trainer (especially when practising more complex vaults) to ensure stability of the device.

The vault trainer can be used in conjunction with any coaching block, but we have made a special set (again designed in conjunction with Lilleshall coaches). This is three blocks - the top one is 1m x 1m x 420mm and the bottom two are 1m x 0.5m x 420mm. The trainer can therefore be used at two heights, and the two smaller blocks can be used to easily access and coach on other apparatus such as uneven bars. the blocks feature a firm foam top with softer foam throughout and are entirely upholstered in red pvc.

Why buy a foam vaulting table which can only be used for vault training ? - This modular foam vaulting table system - new from Continental - not only saves you money but also provides a dual use training aid - when not being used for vault training, this foam vaulting table doesn't just sit there taking up space in your gym, its lower two sections are useful carpet surface coaching blocks.

Ref:265I - A versatile training aid for vault. A unique three section foam vaulting table incorporating:

Base section - foam construction with zipped red pvc cover and integral seal grey carpet surface. Doubles as a carpet surface foam coaching block with a firmer surface for standing on when not used with the vault top. The dimensions of the coaching block are: 720mm high x 1,200mm long x 950mmm wide.

Mid section - used to provide a regulation FIG height foam vaulting table for men. Without the mid section, the vaulting table is at FIG regulation height for women. When not being used for vaulting, the mid section can be used by itself for coaching situations, or on top of the bottom section to provide a 100mm height extension to the coaching block

Top section - foam vaulting table which conforms to FIG dimensions for the vaulting table. Foam construction including a firmer top layer to enable great response from the gymnasts hands. Entire top surface is upholstered in a tactile suedette (similar to that used on a ladies beam). The top section has velcro sewn into the underside which means it can also be used by itself on carpet surface landing mats or a floor area for junior training.

The three sections are held together using heavy duty velcro sewn into each module.

Stabilising bars - the table is supplied complete with epoxy powder coated steel stabilising bars with plastic end caps which slot into channels in the base section and are removed when using that section as a coaching block. The safety mat or landing mat is placed on top of these stabilising bars when the table is in use.

Vaulting horse and accessories

Ref:265A - Sprung top vaulting horse. Upholstered in finest hide. Advanced sprung body giving elasticity whilst reducing stress on gymnasts' joints. Easy height adjustment method. Supplied with chain and turnbuckle for floor anchoring.

The vaulting horse would normally be fixed to a floor anchor during senior use, but for school use this would not normally be necessary, but would be for the coach to determine on a case by case basis.

Competition carpet surface vault run-up carpet and springboard stabilising frame. Overall length of carpet and frame 25m.

Supplementary soft landing mat ("Splat" mat) for vault

FIG approved PVC covered soft landing mat for use with vault.

The mat is 6m x 2m x 100mm and has vault zone markings.

The mat has the new style "funnel" shaped zone markings that start 1m apart behind the table and open out to 1.5m apart at the end of the mat. The mat now also includes a central stripe to highlight the centre line of the landing area
