"Duo-Plane"

The Duo-Plane design offers unique climbing experiences in both vertical and horizontal planes. The gate designs create challenge and interest. Obtain the ability to carry out the full range of movement activities from one frame without the need for additional ladders - climbing, hanging, travelling, taking weight on hands etc. etc. - all available from one compact wall hinged unit.

The frame is secured by a single overhead cable, shoot bolts into the floor and an anchor on the inclined ladder which is supplied with the frame.

Keystage 1 Duo-Plane is 3.0m high and Keystage 2 is 3.6m high. The frames fold flat against the wall requiring only 2.3m of storage space and windows and doors can be spanned without difficulty.

Double door access providing 2.3m measured diagonally between the inner door edges is required for access.

Available in a choice of colours - red, blue and yellow are standard colours, other colours by arrangement. (The pictures to the right are a computer simulation of the standard colour combinations).

"Two-in-one"

A space saving wall-hinged frame where any two of the half gate designs illustrated below can be bolted together on site to make one gate. These are then installed as a single or multiple gate unit by means of an overhead cable and locking system with shoot bolts into the ground.

The illustration to the right shows a pair of frames. The first frame comprises a window ladder half-gate and an adjustable horizontal pole half-gate. The second frame comprises a linked rings half-gate and an adjustable horizontal pole half-gate.

Each gate requires 3m of wall storage space. A pair of gates can fold into each other for storage if required. Windows and radiators can be spanned without difficulty.

Available in a range of colours - stock colours are grey, red, blue or yellow. Each half gate can be a different colour or the same as the one it is connected to. The images to the right show two half frames all in grey, the same frames in red and in blue , and then the half frames painted a combination of red, blue and yellow- (the colours are computer simulated).

Wall hinged rope unit

The epoxy powder coated heavy gauge steel frame produces a very strong and stable unit.

A single overhead cable and locking system combined with substantial floor shoot-bolts lock the frame into its working position. Radiators and windows can be spanned without difficulty.

Keystage 1 & 2 units are 3m high x 3m wide and Keystage 3 & 4 units are 3.66m wide x 3.66m high.

We recommend a maximum of four suspension points on the 3m unit and five on the 3.66m unit. These can be chosen from any combination of:

Overhead rope trackway

A practical answer to your requirements where available wall space is limited.

Any height of ceiling can be accommodated as can any length of trackway.

Any combination of the following can be chosen to operate from the rope trackway:

All the items from the suspension points are operated by a pulley system and tie off cleat and are retracted and stored against the wall when not in use.

Mat gate storage system

As a climbing frame the Mat Gate provides a secure structure for developing linking and bridging activities.

As a storage system, the Mat Gate provides wall storage for up to 12 mats.

Manufactured in two sizes:

1.2m wide x 0.9m high (4' wide x 3' high)
1.8m wide x 1.2m high (6' wide x 4' high)

Tension clamp padded cover

Available for all wall hinged equipment that requires an overhead tensioning cable, this padded safety cover for the wall mounted tension clamp provides additional protection for users of the apparatus and undertaking other activities in the gymnasium both when the equipment is being used, and when the equipment is stored against the wall.

Tension clamp covers can be installed at the same time as the hinged frame, or they can be retro-fitted at a later date. Covers supplied at a later date are straightforward for self-install, or can be installed by Continental engineers.
