Wall padding

PVC covered foam is attached to plywood panels with a velcro backing. Timber bearers with velcro strips are then attached to the wall to be padded and the wall padding held in place by the velcro. This removable solution means that damaged panels can easily be replaced individually without requiring costly bespoke work.

Available in red or blue pvc as standard (with other colours available) this padding has been used in numerous facilities from padding the end walls in basketball courts, to padding the entire "Violent Man Room" at Gravesend Police College.'

In addition to flat panels, we can accomodate any bespoke recess or special feature, either by manufacturing a bespoke panel off-site, or for more complicated situations we can manufacture the bespoke panel on site. Typical examples include the accomodation of the light switch in the above room as shown below:

Column padding

We provide a variety of solutions to padding columns - in for example gymnastics facilities where supporting columns are close to tumble tracks or floor areas - ranging from detachable foam and carpet strips attached with velcro to a column "upholstering" service where we permanently attach various types of foam with differing performance depending on the situation to a column and cover the foam with pvc.

The image to the right shows a corner pad used to cover a corner support and to fill a gap where the walls meet, and a detachable column pad (as well as a roof mounted storage cradle).

Door recess padding

We can pad virtually anything you need to be padded.

Any obstruction, sharp angle or hard corner can be padded.

We can manufacture pads in a range of materials to suit your application and provide them on a supply only basis. If you would like us to pad something for you, it may actually be cost effective for our engineers to attend your site and effectively upholster your item to provide bespoke padding that fits perfectly.

Tension clamp safety cover

Available for all wall hinged equipment that requires an overhead tensioning cable, this padded safety cover for the wall mounted tension clamp provides additional protection for users of the apparatus and undertaking other activities in the gymnasium both when the equipment is being used, and when the equipment is stored against the wall.

Tension clamp covers can be installed at the same time as the hinged frame, or they can be retro-fitted at a later date. Covers supplied at a later date are straightforward for self-install, or can be installed by Continental engineers.
