Balance beam with hooks at both ends.
Avaialable in two lengths. Each has a different construction and finish:
- 2.1m (7') long - lacquered timber beam with rubber covered metal hooks for primary age use
- 3.0m (10') long - extruded aluminium and plywood construction with seal grey carpet upholstery to the top and sides and rubber covered metal hooks suitable for senior use
The balance beams are designed to span between climbing frames to allow children to experience and practice balance and travelling at height. The beams can also be used to span between items such as trestles.
The beams have sprung loaded safety locking devices at both ends to prevent the beam accidentally coming away from the tube it is locked onto.
The two lengths are designed to be used as follows:
- 2.1m, (7') long - to suit a steel 3-gate Foldaway climbing frame with a wall fixed ladder, or to span between a climbing frame and trestles or between two nesting tables or trestles.
- 3.0m, (10') long - to suit a pair of timber wall hinged climbing frames, or to span between a climbing frame and trestles or between two nesting tables or trestles.
